This post is a very unique post, as we are going to explore the more technical side to Formula 1. If you are an F1 fan who enjoys exploring the technical side and the finer details of F1, then this is the post for you. If you are looking to explore this area of F1 for the first time, then you’ve come to the right place. This post is about the Formula 1 engine eras. The engine formulas have always changed every few years, often resulting in different teams rising to the top.
For example, Mercedes have absolutely dominated the current era of Formula 1, with the V6 turbocharged engines. Formula 1 engine regulation changes often make it more challenging and costly for engine manufacturers. For now, the only engine manufacturers in F1 are Renault, Mercedes, Ferrari and Honda. However, Honda is not going to manufacture engines in the new era. Speaking of the new era, I have also written a little bit about it. I have written about both the 2022 aero regulations, and the 2025 engine regulations, even though this post is just about the engines.
Another unique feature of this post is that it is not like a normal post. I have presented the information in the form of a timeline. It is a fun infographic that should make it easier for you guys to enjoy the content. There are images to make it easier to understand my descriptions of the cars. I highly recommend that you should share this infographic. It would be a good thing to show to your friends and family. I’m sure that they’ll enjoy reading it. Also, I’d like to note that I have put in a lot of time and effort into this so that everyone can really enjoy F1ntastic. Enjoy reading about the 10 eras of F1 engines, and the one mini-era, and let me know in the comments below if you guys think that I should make more posts like this!
