In August, Formula 1 announced that they were finishing the 2020 F1 season at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. 2009, 2010, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 saw Abu Dhabi as the last race of the season, and thankfully, 2020 is on that list as well. Now let’s see, after every season ends, what do drivers do? They celebrate! Every season finisher has seen some spectacular celebrations; there are fireworks in the sky, cheers from the adoring fans, and burnouts from the drivers, to commemorate the season. The championship winner and runner up often celebrate the most, while drivers who are retiring from F1 do so as well.
Don’t need those gearboxes, don’t need those engines. The drivers can celebrate in the style that we all love.David Croft, 2019 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
So I thought, why don’t we watch all of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix celebrations? That’s right, we’re here with a burnout compilation. We’ve brought all of the end-of-season celebrations that have ever happened in Abu Dhabi, and we’ve put them together. This means we’ve made one spectacular celebratory video to celebrate the end of an absolutely crazy year. Mercedes obviously feature heavily in this video, since they’ve consistently won the last 7 drivers’ and constructors’ championship. We all remember the emotional farewells of Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa in 2018 and 2017. Watch the video below, and let me know in the comments below, which year saw the best celebrations?
